A Wedding Ring Is A Perfect Circle

It has no beginning or end, symbolising the everlasting love that two people have for one another. It dates back to ancient Egypt, and they wore it like we do today, on the third finger of the left hand, because of a belief that the vein of that finger directly travelled from the heart.

The Romans called this the ‘vena amoris’, which is Latin for ‘the vein of love’.

“I give you this ring, as a symbol of my desire, that you be my wife, from this day forward.

I hope that you, like I, will wear it as an outward symbol of our love, for all the world to see”
